On the 1st of December 2024 the event by the «Ludi Morya» Fund for promotion of research, preservation and popularization of history of human activities at sea took place in Saint Petersburg, in the course of which the cooperation agreement with Construction Dredging Company LLC was signed.

The reporting conference of the «Ludi Morya» Fund was held at the Russian Geographic Society headquarters and joined by representatives of public organizations, universities, museums as well as prominent local history companies.

Participants were presented by the Fund’s employees with videos on implemented projects aimed at the survey and preservation of Russia’s maritime heritage – exploration of the Northen Sea Route, islands, lighthouses and vessels, fortifications as well as cultural sites.

The Fund was created with the goal of attracting public attention to the significance of preserving maritime heritage, its importance for culture and history. The Fund’s team strives to pass on respect for the ancestors’ achievements to the next generation, keep knowledge and experience of explorers and trailblazers of the seas, since the Fund is of belief that sea is not only a source of inspiration but also a platform for unfolding one’s talents and interests.

The «Ludi Morya» Fund and Construction Dredging Company LLC declared the start of fruitful cooperation. Parties are going to participate in historical expeditions, conduct joint works on identification, preservation and exhibition of maritime history items and sites. A special focus shall be on the interaction for filling with content the GIS platform «Russia – Sea to Sea», which pursues the goal of preserving maritime cultural heritage.
