From September 17 to 19, 2024, a congress event of the Russian fishing industry was held in Saint Petersburg: Global Fishery Forum and Seafood Expo Russia, where discussion covered issue of economic efficiency, social stability, regulation of fishing and competition, legislative support for the industry and the relationship between public and private interests, modernization of the industry, promising areas of fishing, development of international cooperation, and preparation of a personnel reserve.
The Global Fishery Forum has been held annually for over 5 years. In 2024, the Forum and Seafood Expo Russia were visited by more than 19,000 people from 27 countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, India, Turkey and others. The speakers of the event were Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries and other heads of government agencies and business structures.
It has become a tradition of the Global Fishing Forum being a point of attraction for leading industry experts and representatives of the business community.
In frames of the Seafood Expo Russia program, Construction Dredging Company LLC employees visited stands of the companies engaged in activities to compensate for damage to aquatic bioresources, including those during works on the construction of hydraulic structures, and familiarized with their capabilities and achievements.
Besides, the Forum program included a participation of Construction Dredging Company LLC employees in a working meeting with representatives of the FSBI Glavrybvod, the largest and only state institution of the Russian Federation created to preserve Russia's aquatic biological resources.
During the meeting, a discussion was held on mechanisms for compensation measures to redress damage to aquatic biological resources caused resultant to the business activities of the Construction Dredging Company LLC, including dredging operations. Agreements were reached on further cooperation.
